Mercedes-Benz EQS (₹ 1.5 - 1.75 Crore)
Earlier this month, the all-new Mercedes-Benz EQS made its global debut. Interestingly, the electric car is now featured on the official website as 'Coming Soon,' implying that it would be released in India this year. The electric vehicle's model website has also disclosed numerous crucial information and specs ahead of its introduction. It will be the Stuttgart-based luxury carmaker's second all-electric design, following the EQC electric SUV that debuted last year.
The luxurious electric car will be offered in two trim levels, according to the official website that is : EQS 450+ and EQS 580 4MATIC. The EQS 450+ is the entry-level model, with a single electric motor on the rear axle producing 328 horsepower and 568 Nm of peak torque. The EQS 580 4MATIC is the top-of-the-line all-wheel-drive (AWD) model, with electric motors on both front and rear axles. The combined power is 516 bhp and 855 Nm of peak torque, resulting in a 4.1-second sprint to 100 kmph from a standstill.
The electric car has all of the S-aesthetic Class's features, including LED headlights with integrated LED DRLs, all of which are joined by an LED strip and LED taillights. The new MBUX Hyperscreen of 56-inch, which is basically a huge glass dashboard integrating three distinct information displays - an instrument cluster, a centre infotainment system, and an auxiliary passenger-side touchscreen - is featured on the interior.
On a full charge, the Mercedes-Benz EQS has a 107.8 kWh Lithium-Ion battery that promises a 770 km WLTP cycle approved driving range. The automaker, on the other hand, has not offered specific range options for each version. The car comes with an 11 kW onboard charger as standard, with a 22 kW charger available as an option. A 110 kW DC fast charger can charge the EQS from 10% to 80% in 35 minutes, but a 240-volt domestic wall charger will take 11 hours for the same range.
